AbstractAbout AuthorsReferences
Approaches and set of foreign regulatory and technical documents relating to design of structural concrete of buildings and structures according to their life cycle are analyzed. The main documents determining the current principles of such design are the International standard ISO 16204:2012 “Durability – Service life design of concrete structures” implemented in 2012 and developed by the International Federation for structural concrete (fib) Bulletin no. 34 “Model Code for Service Life Design”, and fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010. Based on these documents, proposals to amend and supplement the national system of technical regulation are considered. In the context of prolonged economic crisis and impossibility of large-scale budgetary investments, life cycle contracts could become an effective alternative tool for the development of social and economic infrastructure.
